TILE FLOORS FAQ
As floor tiles are more durable the answer would generally be yes. However, you should always consider the weight of the tile and its individual features. Our team are always on hand to help you choose the most suitable tile for your individual project.
The main differences between Ceramic and Porcelain tiles are their composition and manufacture. It can often be difficult to tell them apart.
One of the main differences is the amount of water they absorb. Porcelain absorbs less than 0.5% whilst ceramic is more absorbent. Both are excellent options for bathrooms or wet rooms however porcelain is essential for use outdoors. Its low water absorption means that water wont seep into tiles so they cannot freeze and crack in cold weather.
